Hmong Radio Fresno (HRF) first began
broadcasting at KBIF 900 AM since 1993. However, since June 2005, HRF has moved
to KQEQ 1210 AM.
The producer and host of Hmong Radio Fresno is Tou Lee Xiong. His assistants
are: Sia Xiong and Paneng Xiong. HRF broadcasts in the Hmong language three
hours per week. Broadcasting time is every Friday from 11:00 am to 12:00 noon.
HRF covers local, national and international news, business, arts, culture, and
community issues, including education and health care issues, that affect the
Hmong people. Our target audience includes both teens and adults.
Most middle and high school age listeners tune in to the music and dedication
portion, and the adult audiences tune in to news, talk shows, educational,
business, and cultural programs. The bulk of our listeners are head of
households and/or adults who are decisions-makers and potential consumers of
products and services.
